The Ash Vale Health Centre is one of two General Medical Practices managed by Dr B Whitby-Smith & Partners. It is a partnership of thirteen doctors in total - seven Partners at Ash Vale and six Partners who are based at our other surgery in Frimley Green  - the Frimley Green Medical Centre website may be found at www.fgmc.co.uk

 

 

 

Normal Opening Times

 

Telephones        8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.  

                         6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Doctors answering service for

                         emergencies only.

                         Between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. please call the out of

                         hours service 'NHS 111' by dialing 111

Front Door          8:15 a.m. -   6:00 p.m. (*see note below)

 

Dispensary         8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

                         2:30 p.m. -  6:00  p.m.

 

*The surgery is open from 7:30 a.m. on Mon, Tue & Wed for pre-booked appointments only. The main reception desk and appointment booking are not available until 8:30 a.m.

 

Parking

 

There is parking at the front of the building plus additional 'on road' parking along Chandlers Road. Unless you have a valid 'Disabled Parking Badge', please do not park in the disabled parking spaces directly in front of the main entrance.

 

Access for the disabled

 

There are disabled parking bays just in front of the main entrance - The main entrance has wide electric sliding doors. All rooms are at ground level.

01.10.2014 Welcome to Dr Sayed Ebrahimi  Dr Ebrahimi joins us a full-time GP and replaces Dr Kate Brinklow who has relocated with her family down to Southampton. Dr Ebrahimi will consult on; Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

26.03.2014 - Join our 'Virtual' Patient Group If you would like to become involved with our Patient Representative Group and have some input into how the surgery runs and what services you feel the surgery should prioritise for it's patients, you would be very welcome. We currently have around 90 patients registered as members. Although the majority of communication is via email, you can still participate through the post if you prefer.

13.02.2014 Patient Survey 2014. Please print the Survey and return the completed copy to Reception by 28th February.

 

04.02.2014 On the afternoon of Tuesday the 11th February, all the doctors will be attending a local training event and as such there will be no GPs available in the health centre for that afternoon only. Emergency medical cover is being provided by the Out of Hours service, via our main Reception Desk , which will be open as normal. All other nurse clinics and the Treatment Room will be operating as usual.

10.09.2013  Shingles Vaccination Programme  - The Department of Health have introduced a new vaccination programme to immunise patients age 70 against Shingles. There is also a 'catch-up' programme this year for those patients aged 79.  Therefore over the course of 2013 / 14 patients aged either 70 or 79 as at the 1st September 2013 will be written to inviting them to receive a vaccination to protect them against Shingles.
